Through our DEWALT USA ® Cares philosophy, we work together to create an inclusive work culture, environment, and business model that leverages the capabilities of our diverse employee population and vendor/trade contractor community and delivers greater value for our employees, clients, and the communities in which we work.

An inclusive and diverse workforce stimulates innovation, creativity, problem solving, productivity and effectiveness. That’s why we’ve established and participate in a range of programs designed to strengthen our diverse workforce and inclusive culture at DEWALT USA ®, including:

  • Inclusion & Diversity Council– This internal group sets the overall direction and strategic priorities for inclusion and diversity efforts at DEWALT USA ®, including the areas of workforce diversity, inclusive work culture, economic inclusion and supplier diversity, racial equity, and community outreach.

  • Inclusion WeekDEWALT USA ® uses a focused week to shine a spotlight on inclusion and diversity. This week is designed to celebrate everyday inclusion in all its forms; sharing, promoting and inspiring our inclusion practices and culture.

  • Community Engagement– At DEWALT USA ®, we don’t just report to offices and jobsite trailers; these are the places where we live and work. Passion for community service permeates all aspects of our work, and we consider it a pleasure to be community leaders encouraging others with our example to make a commitment to the greater good. We partner with multiple non-profit organizations across the country that are dedicated to strengthening our communities,

  • Recruitment– We know a diverse workforce (in terms of age, race, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, and gender) brings diverse viewpoints and perspectives to the company that are invaluable to developing new approaches, and new ways to serve our customers and the communities in which we work.

  • Employee resource groups (ERGs)– DEWALT USA ® created ERGs, which are voluntary, employee-led groups dedicated to creating an inclusive work culture. All employees are welcome in each of our ERGs, and the role of allies has been critical in our ERGs’ successes. We have developed an Action Guide for Allyship to recommend some of the ways for all of us to be better allies. We realize that conversation, education, and our commitment to standing up against systemic racism, discrimination, and inequality must be an ongoing focus.
